John T. Wahlquist, president 1952-1964 San Jose State College: an oral history / conducted by the San Jose State University archives, Charles Burdick.

John T. Wahlquist discusses his presidency at San Jose State College, the history of the buildings on campus and the several programs and majors that he developed while he was president. He also discusses the changes he instituted in the school's administration, curriculum and the expansion of school hours to include afternoon and evening classes for working students. He further discusses how he helped pioneer health services on campus as well as other state colleges and how the library changed from a building with a simple collection of books into a research library.
